I’ve loved shows all my life. Since I was a kid. But I just cant anymore. I’ve made my peace with ten episode seasons. But not with the long wait in between them.
There are a half dozen shows I’ll continue watching because I already started them. But once those are done, I’m done. Knowing ahead of time that I have to wait two years plus for a second season of a new show kills any interest.
I recently watched Squid Game for the first time after waiting for it to be over. I was able to binge the whole thing through. Perhaps that’s my compromise. I’ll watch Severance in 2029 after the end of its third and final season.
B-b-but if you don’t watch shows when they drop, viewership will go down and then they will not make any new ones!
And that’s my problem how?
If the food from my favorite restaurant goes down in quality and I stop going, is it my problem if they close down?
