I will say the Famous Maroon Band folks are very friendly and the last time we went to Starkville for the Egg Bowl, we got fed a really good Thanksgiving meal in the cafeteria by the university! And we walked out of Davis Wade Stadium with a victory!
I also like how their crowds participate in the cheers like the STATE spellout and the one that goes “Go State! Go State!” And they also ring their cowbells to the music. Trying to get our crowd to participate in the R-E-B-S spellout is like talking to a stump.
Never seen LSU’s band in-person but next year (2024) maybe I’ll get picked for that away game trip. They always sound really good based on the videos I’ve watched.
As for Florida’s band, never seen them in-person either but I’ve seen videos of their pregame show and I think it’s really cool that they play the Jaws theme to begin the show. Makes the atmosphere intimidating when Gator fans are doing the Gator Chomp while the band plays the iconic Jaws music.
