The “Biggest Upset” post inspired me to make this post (rip App State). How many of y’all switched your fandom when you started attending college, and how was your experience with that?
For me, my grandma went to MSU, so I grew up a die-hard State fan. I literally wouldn’t wear anything blue and yellow, even if it wasn’t UMich gear. But, when it came time for me to go to school, I chose Michigan. Now, of course, I bleed maize and blue.
But, I never really know how to feel about the ‘before times’ and games. For example, when it happened, “trouble with the snap” was one of the greatest days of my life. I was jumping up and down crying tears of happiness. Now, though… it’s supposed to be a source of shame and embarrassment, even though that wasn’t my experience when it happened. Anyone else in a similar boat? Any other current Michigan fans cheer when Barrett got the first down? Any current Auburn fans that were sickened by the kick six when it happened?
Happy off-season, folks
