Was bored at work and yearning for better VT football days which at the moment includes the Justin Fuente era. Decided to Google “Justin Fuente” (quotes included) to see if he’d been picked up as an assistant/analyst this season or if he was still just chilling with his family and living off the buyout money.
I checked the Wikipedia result on him, which didn’t list any new position. Went back to the Google results and kept scrolling down. Much to my surprise, I saw a result for Justin Fuente from goduke.com right under the result for his official Twitter.
Followed the link and initially assumed it was a technical mix-up of some kind, i.e. maybe VT and Duke outsource their athletics sites to the same developers and there was some cross-contamination. But then I noticed his title is “Head Coach Fantasy Football.”
What could this mean? Did an intern making a joke accidentally hit the “publish” button? Or, much more realistically, is Justin Fuente on a secret mission to overthrow Mike Elko, and he’s starting with the Fantasy Football department? The college football community needs answers.
Screenshots for if/when Duke takes it down.
Edit: annnnnd they took it down. Still can be seen in Google results for now when searching “Justin Fuente” with quotes included
Edit 2: Listing still can be seen here
