As a reminder the schools this would involve would be: Air Force, Army, Cal, Navy, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, Stanford, Syracuse, UCLA, USC, and Washington.
Noting that Army and Navy were both super powerful teams at the time this proposal happened and the PCC had just collapsed making it that the west coast was conference less. The reason this never came to fruition was the Pentagon’s opposition to the proposal.
