Birth control is completely free regardless of what insurance plan you have or doctor you go to. Your insurance is required to cover it. You do not have to pay a copay and it should not go towards your deductible.

Birth control that is covered by the ACA includes all hormonal contraceptives, IUDs, sterilizations, diaphragms, sponges, birth control pills, plan b, etc.
I was able to get my tubes removed without paying a single cent. Before that, I had IUDs all of which were completely covered as well. I have helped others get their bills wiped clean by simply telling them to tell their providers to bill it under the ACA.
