Last week, I posted the same question about individual games. The response was awesome and it brought a lot of great memories. Also, I have a long flight tomorrow and took many of the recommendations, downloading those games for the flight. Thank you for that!
So, I am wondering, what are the odd plays that you distinctly remember or go back to watch? I am talking obscure plays that are long forgotten to many even on this sub.
So no big moments like the David Tyree catch or Russ interception at the one. No well-known awful blunders like the Jim Marshall wrong-way run or Jameis going for 30/30. No hilarious plays like Dan Connolly carrrying the loaf of bread. “Gronkowski didn’t have the angle” and the river city relay? Not here. Also, if you are gonna say a punt, pick one other than from a Monday night in Pittsburgh in 07. If the play is well known or has a name, it doesn’t fit here.
Examples of plays that come to mind are the Wyatt Teller somersault block against the Patriots in 2019, JK Scott pinning the Patriots at the 1 in 2023, DeShone Kizer throwing a sky ball to Clay Matthews to seal a 13th loss in 2017, Doug Baldwins long TD vs Pit in 15, and, of course, Bortles throwing an interception when he tried to dirt a ball.
So what are they for you? What obscure plays do you love?
