I was bored at home and got sucked into OG Law and Order on one of the marathons. After watching 3 episodes I had YouTube tv start recording and now have roughly a bajillion episodes to work through. Let me lay out the case (insert Jung Jung sound)
Fantastic acting. The main characters- briscoe, Logan,van buren, McCoy, Kincaid, Schiff (I’m watching season 5) don’t have a weak link. It might be one of the strongest acted shows of the 90’s but it doesn’t stop there. Over and over the guests of the week are major actors or people who will go on to become major actors.
Fantastic plots I haven’t seen a bad episode yet. They are clever but realistic. Smart but easy to follow. Not afraid to go after some big ideas but not preachy.
Lasting impact: 20 seasons? 7 spin offs including at least one that seem more popular than the original?
I feel like one can make a compelling case for this being a top 10 all time tv show.
