This was the famed 2022 #1 recruiting class for Texas A&M. We all knew how impressive it was and how far it fell as time went on, but the numbers were still shocking to me. I don’t know which stood out to me more, the 17 Top 100 commits or the fact that 14 (82% of the class) transferred out. Sorry for the reminder Aggie fans.

Similar goes for Alabama and Georgia as well. Alabama, not far behind A&M with 15 Top 100 commits but lost 10 of them over time. Georgia had 12 commits, eventually losing half.

Some other surprises to me were North Carolina and USC losing all 4 of their Top 100 commits as well.

58 players in this class transferred from their committed school. A whopping 58% transfer rate.

2022 featured 12 2025 First Round Draft picks. Travis Hunter, Walter Nolen, Mykel Williams, Shemar Stewart, Josh Conerly JR, Malaki Starks, Jihaad Campbell, Kelvin Banks, Will Campbell, Jalon Walker, Tetairoa McMillan and Tyler Booker.

There were 2 2nd round picks this year in Luther Burden III and Will Johnson.

Apologies if I missed anyone. I’ll try to get a 2023 recap up soon as well.
