I hate this trope where writers run out of ideas for mothers, especially ones with teenagers already who are almost out of the house, and write them another pregnancy. Like there isn’t anything else they’d want to do with their time after 18 years? Obviously some people choose this in real life and that’s great for them, but it just feels out of character for so many of these women. I’m thinking Malcolm in the Middle, Parenthood, Sex Education, Modern Family, Good Luck Charlie (the baby after Charlie), and probably more
