So my retired parents and immediately family live in Oregon. They received their first vaccine dose through a private hospital with their private doctor and care was wonderful, instructions were clear, and everything worked fine.
The state of Oregon under the disastrous leadership of Kate Brown decided that government had to intervene. So the state setup a hastily built website that was an utter dumpster fire from the launch. Residents are required to login and fill out information their doctors already have so that a state case worker can review every case (in a state of 4.2 million) and physically call the person to then go over that same information so they can then manually type notes back into the website to determine if the person is eligible for the vaccine and then create a list of who gets the vaccine first so that you can then be sent a notice saying when you will be vaccinated.
My parents were set to receive their 2nd and final dose when this launched. The site is broken... nothing works. The vaccination effort in the state has now ground to a halt and vaccines are not being administered after things were progressing fine and 14% of the state had already been vaccinated. All so that an ego driven leftist governor can control all aspects of the program.
I am sickened beyond belief.
