To me this is the rivalry for Nebraska that still has the most meaning.
Nebraska is weird with their rivals… The older generation doesn’t accept anyone but Oklahoma, but that rivalry has felt dead for 15+ years because of the lopsided nature of success… We hated Missouri for awhile in the Big 12… Now Iowa seems to have taken that spot.
But nothing feels quite like the unhinged rage Colorado and Nebraska have for each other. We’ve both sucked the last decade. But like Deion said, Saturday still felt personal. I’m a 31 year old Husker fan (🥲🔫), so it probably is somewhat reflective of the rivalry I grew up watching, but I really feel like this needs to be an annual non-conference game for both teams.
