The infamous “Texas is back” 2016 game where Texas beat #10 Notre Dame only for both teams to miss a bowl is a well-known one, as is Colorado’s win over TCU in 2023. Last season I think Michigan beating USC was the best example of this, with USC and Michigan both finishing the season unranked.
