Of the 12 FBS teams in Texas only 3 have a win over a power 5 team.
Those teams are Texas, Rice and Texas State. Rice’s only loss was to #4 Texas where they held them to an impressive 37 points at home (Texas only put up 34 on Alabama on the road).
Rice could be the second best team in the state this year. A&M, TCU, Tech, and Baylor will have to wait another week (or 2) to beat a P5 program.
