This show is about struggle. Every single character on the show has a struggle they are either currently or have already processed. Shows like this focus on character growth. It takes time to build and develop that.
Every post I’ve seen says it sucks for 1 of 3 issues: lack of golf, Zero sucks, and talk of pronouns.
I’ll address all 3.
The lack of golf I think will go away once they develop the characters. as they had to set everything up first and the last episode had a lot of golf in it.
Zero sucks: yes that’s the point… she’s supposed to be unlikable so that she can grow. You’re not supposed to like every character and to be honest her acting is obviously working based on how many of you dislike her. Give the show some time before you throw harsh judgements.
Pronouns talk: it’s a hot topic today in media. This show is just using that for discussion and for humor. I honestly find Marc Maron funny as hell with it. It must really bother you in real life if only a few lines of a tv show cause you to say the whole thing is garage over it.
My take is that it’s not a bad show by any means and has a slow burn to it. But then again this is Reddit and what do I know!
