My SIL has a 15yo daughter from a previous relationship we call Elena. I also have 15yo niece named Kaia.
The problem started when the school began. Elena and Kaia are in the same grade and they go to the same school now. Apparently a bunch of kids in Kaia’s friend group have been bullying Elena. Now every time someone invites the whole family over my SIL makes a scene demanding to know why we put her daughter and her daughter’s bully in the same place. So we stopped inviting SIL and Elena to avoid ruining everything.
Last night I invited my entire family over and didn’t invite SIL and her daughter. She called me angrily and asked why they are not invited anymore and I told her since she gets so angry every time invite them to an event in which Kaia is invited we decided not to invite them anymore since she finds it so insulting to be invited to these events.
She called me an asshole and a bunch of other names
