If I had to choose, it would be a toss up between True Detective Season 1 and The Wire Season 4.
Both are absolute masterpieces and nearly flawless. About as close to perfect as television can possibly get in my opinion.
Honorable mentions include The Sopranos Season 2, Breaking Bad Season 4, The Shield Season 7, Mr Inbetween Season 2, and Deadwood Season 2(it was so hard not to pick Season 1)
