I avoided the OBGYN for a long time because I was nervous about going and was embarassed to have an exam. Then I started having some problems that I couldn’t ignore and had to get an ultrasound. It was my first time having that type of exam and I cried through the whole thing. They saw something on the lining of my uterus so now I have to have a bunch of tests.

My older sisters best friend is a midwife so she is going to have me come in to her office because I’ve never had a Pap smear/pelvic exam. She said I will also probably need a test where they take a sample from the inside. I’ve been freaking out and I’m so afraid of going. My sister told me its just a little pressure but can someone honestly tell me whether it is awful or not? I know she’s just trying not to scare me. I wish I could just get like an MRI instead.

For anyone reading this who has also avoided the OBGYN. Dont be like me. Go before you have issues.
