Are there any shows where the main character or the actor playing that character is unlikeable to you (for whatever reason) but you still watch because either the secondary characters or the story itself is worth sticking around for? And I don’t mean anti-heroes or people we’re not supposed to side with like Dexter or Walter White. I mean actors or main characters who make the show borderline unwatchable because of bad acting, miscasting or just not being a well written character in general.

For me I’d say Hannibal is a show that comes to mind. I don’t know if it counts because it seems like Hannibal himself is the main character (the title gives it away) and I LOVE Mads Mikkelson’s performance in it. But Hugh Dancy just doesn’t do it for me as Will. And it feels like the series gives him equal screen time which makes me think he’s more than just a side character.

Switching to a more comedy show I’m gonna say Andy Samberg in Brooklyn 99. I didn’t like him before I watched the show and in all fairness I dislike him a little less after B-99 but not enough to still not be annoyed by him.
