I just finished watching The Pitt. And while extreme in many ways when it came to the medical emergencies that came hour after hour, and all the hot tempers and running and rushing, it never seemed to approach the stress I’ve seen in the staff at The Bear. And I wonder why that is. In no way is the restaurant kitchen nearing the life and death stakes of an ER, yet the tension and tempers seem almost double that of the PItt ER. Both shows have been acclaimed for their accuracy, so can someone tell me why this is?
