I had an abortion on Thursday, September 7th, it’s now three days later on the 10th and I’m still passing large blood clots, cramping, and just generally in pain. For my actual procedure I chose IV a sedation, they didn’t put me fully under. As the procedure started it was pretty painful, then it was to the point where I was sobbing, screaming and just looking at my husband through tears as he tried to do square breathing with me. I was loopy but the pain made it so I couldn’t think at all, my husband kept trying to ask if it was normal and said I clearly need more pain medicine but nobody really listened. Then, later in the recovery room, I was bleeding a lot, cramping horribly probably 8/10 pain, so they gave me an ultrasound. They found a huge blood clot and decided they would suction again, unmedicated this time, they only did it twice but it hurt enough that I bit my husband pretty good. I’m just so confused honestly, has anyone else had that horrible of an experience with this? I just cant understand why it had to be so bad.
