Original Title: Whe the Jets have the longest active playoff appearance drought, it’s not even top 10 all time. Here’s what is: if the New York Jets have another losing season this year, they will be tied for the 4th-longest losing season streak all time.

Often talked-about is the Jets playoff drought - they haven’t made the playoffs since 2011. But that actually isn’t even close to an NFL record or even top 10 all time. The Cardinals and Washington are tied for that, who both have 25-year stretches where they did not make the playoffs, and the Browns and Bills both recently ended a 17-year streak of no playoff appearances.

However, at 9 straight losing seasons, the Jets have by far the longest active streak of losing seasons; next closest is the Falcons who have not has a winning season since 2017. Jets haven’t had once since 2015 when they won 10 games.

And one more would put them tied for 4th-worst ever. The Bucs lead that list with 15 straight losing seasons from 83-96, followed by the Browns and Saints who both have 12-year losing season streaks. Tied for 4th is currently the Lions from 01-10, Broncos from 63-72, and Eagles from 33-42. One more losing season would put the Jets in that list.
