Nothing actually to do with the Barbie movie but a moment reminiscent of a scene from it - our youngest son’s school was canceled due to a loss of utilities. All parents were told to come pick up their kids which resulted in a bit of a cattle call chaos but as I was one of the first there, only witnessed the beginning of it. I am a vocal and present person who uses her voice, so I strode forward and asked what the process was, then informed them of our son’s name after being instructed to do so. A little girl watched me with awe, and it rung such a chord in my soul; I was happy to be the strong female she observed. After exiting the entry, an older woman complimented me and my ink, calling me beautiful. I thanked her and said she was very kind and also beautiful. It had struck me when she was sitting behind me on the bench in the entry that she had beautiful light blue eyes, so I was being honest. It brought to mind the Barbie movie.

I feel like if women could just run the world, maybe we will be alright.
