A lot of the people long for the days of 24 episode seasons and short turnarounds -myself included. When Stranger Things comes out, I probably won’t watch it because I’m not invested in the characters or really even remember them.
That said, isn’t the reason for the delay because of the production cost and talent is so much better than before. In the ‘old days’, you didn’t have CGI quality like Vecna that take time and money. That level of detail was not the case for Sci-Fi shows like the X-Files, Buffy, Smallville, or even Lost
In the shows that run a good production schedule (Abbott Elementary, The Bear, The Pit), they are not A-listers like Pedro Pascal and Zendeya that have major roles blockbuster movies.
TL;DR - It’s less about the studio, but ‘prestige TV’ requires more time (A-lister, CGI). This is the real source of annoyance
