I’m enjoying it…I think. I love Lost and really enjoy shows that seem to follow this ‘big mystery, character development focus’ type formula. Definitely not trying to simplify it down to that though.
The biggest thing that’s tripping me up is how odd the characters are. I can’t tell if it’s weird acting, weird writing, or purposeful. It almost feels campy at times, like it is a lower budget production (even tho it’s not). Or it’s from an older time. A good example of this is when Lost would do the slow motion dramatic scenes. It felt dated. But Leftovers is 10 years newer than Lost.
I actually don’t know what I’m looking for here. I’m most likely going to continue with the show. Did anyone else feel like this at first?
