I just realized how meta, self-aware, and sweetly self-deprecating the Cobra Kai creators are for Amanda’s repeated criticisms that Johnny and Daniel are taking their childhood karate rivalry a little too seriously.
Unless they didn’t see it. Which would only make the parallel stronger. 😆
EDIT: Just to be clear, what I’m trying to say is, are they also poking fun at themselves, the original cast members, and us fans for being so focused on Daniel and Johnny’s rivalry? I get how Amanda’s critique works IN universe—but it works just as well on the fandom level.
