Buffalo (high = 85, low = 96) checks in at #94, becoming the 9th member of the MAC on this countdown. Pete Lembo heads into his third season at the helm as essentially a .500 coach, having guided the Bulls to a 9-4 season and a Bahamas Bowl (RIP?) win over Liberty. He returns essentially his entire defense (9th nationally) and his leading rusher and receiver. The only new player of note will be QB Ta’Quan Roberson, who transfers in after stints at Kansas State and UConn. That probably explains why Buffalo ranks 130th in the nation in the transfer portal class (Dabo sends his regards!), which pairs with the 93rd ranked recruiting class to become the 118th best incoming class overall. Fortunately for the Bulls, after opening the season at Minnesota, the rest of their schedule sets up nicely, with most games against teams ranked below them or not far above, and any game against a team ranked above is going to be played in UB Stadium. The Bulls could legitimately be a dark horse team to play in the MAC championship game.
