I have a BIL who recently had a baby about two months ago, he recently came over to visit without the baby’s mother (his now girlfriend). I had noticed his nails were quite long and he was scratching his face, I asked BIL if he would like me to cut them as I have a child myself and he is a first time dad. He agreed, and so I cut them down. No nicks, no tears, nothing. I few hours go by and his girlfriend (the baby’s mother) makes a post about how she doesn’t need anyone basically telling her how to be a mother since she has a seven year old, and that if she wanted help she would’ve asked. My MIL then calls my BIL and asks about if the post was about me cutting my nephews nails, and he said yes. So AITA for cutting his nails even though I asked the baby’s father if it was okay first?
