Makes sense. I use VSCodium or VSCode for everything I used to use WordPad for. Seems overdue for VSCode to be a built-in. If they start including the HTML and PDF generation plugins as stock, a lot more folks would probably switch.

Might as well? I’m surprised notepad still hangs around and they’re not forcing Word/365. Wordpad is ok. But it’s in this weird middle ground between notepad and full office Word.
So, I guess notepad++ will continue to thrive.

Yeah, this is completely fair.
Plus it competes with OneNote, Sticky Notes, and Notepad internally. How many note taking applications does an OS need to ship with, really?
