Am I the only one that doesn’t enjoy artists dropping 3 or 4 albums a year? I’ve just seen Boldy James is dropping his fourth album this year today. Can I get time to process the others FFS? Are we not allowed to enjoy music? I can’t even blame the record labels as I swear he’s independent. It’s not just him. In this Spotify era, it’s the norm to drop multiple albums a year and I’m like WTF? What happened to touring albums? Spending time with families? Let a brother breathe for fuxake!

I feel the same… and as much ad I love these guys, I mostly been noticing it with coke rappers like Boldy, Grizelda etc. at some point I got so overwhelmed I just stopped paying attention.
My conspiracy theory is that it’s the guys who sell a lot of vinyl. Usually it’s sold in small quantities with high prices to keep the demand high, so if you release multiple albums you can capitalise on fomo and sell a lot of records.
