Detective show styled after/inspired by Sherlock Holmes where the ‘Sherlock’ character portrayal is not British?

So, not looking for Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch), Elementary (Jonny Lee Miller), or Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett). Elementary may be an American tv series, set in America, but the Sherlock character portrayal is still British.

I would accept House as a submission, as the titular character is loosely based on Arthur Conan Doyle’s “Sherlock Holmes” and the character portrayal is American (never mind that the actor Hugh Laurie is British).

But I would prefer crime scene detective over medical procedurals.

Are there others? American, Australian, Japanese, Chinese, any nationality other than British?
