I read on this sub that men and women have different symptoms of heart attack. I googled but it is showing the symptoms to be same for both men and women, which I know is not true.
They don’t do medical research on women. They only focus on men and ailments and symptoms for women are still not recognised.
Can someone tell me what are the symptoms of heart attack and cardiac arrest in women?
Edit: My mother died like this, in 2008. She was 47. I live in India.
She died at home of heart attack or cardiac arrest. She was sick for a few days leading up to that. If I remember correctly, she had a fever and she went to the doctor to get meds for that. She was particularly weak and dizzy. She was having to take breaks between her walk back home from doctor’s clinic.
A while ago I learnt that the symptoms are different in men and women and I am wondering if she went undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.
