I had a typically misogynistic regular come in today. “Good morning !” I say, as he ignores me and throws his stuff & money on the counter & watches tiktoks, not even looking up at me. I’m used to this dude, he’s always a jerk.

My manager walks in, and apparently him & this guy go way back. They start talking about a trip the customer took to Mexico recently, and then he starts talking about women. He starts with saying really racist sexual things about Mexican women, and goes into detail about his encounter with one. He referred to her as “the whore” for the rest of his story. Telling my manager about the sounds she made, the things she wore, etc. Anyway, they were talking for a good 15 minutes before another woman walks in and saves me from listening any further.

My manager later walks up to me and says “What did you think of that story?” Laughing. I actually just unloaded on him. I said “I hated it, actually. I think it was disgusting and I think you’re a disgusting person and an unprofessional boss.” He looked dumbfounded and asked me why I was mad at him for a story a customer told. But like??? You’re the general manager bro. You have the authority (and obligation) to say “Hey, I am on the clock and cant talk about this right now.” And then text him since you’re so damn close. This manager is also the same one that makes female employee watch Andrew tate videos just to get a reaction out of us.

I’m just done. Im done with serving shitty men that get off on making me uncomfortable, and im done working for a loser. Weird misogynistic comments are made daily, and these men don’t know how to act. I’m done with customer service. I wanted to say something and interrupt their conversation but I was so caught off guard.

Anyway, I found the dude on facebook, and found out he has a wife. Should I tell her? Yes or no? Genuine question because I want to do the right thing, and I personally, would absolutely want to know.
