Shows like The Studio, Entourage, Ray Donovan etc… Always seem to portray Hollywood as this soulless, disingenuous, sycophantic industry. I wonder how much of this is true and how much is exaggerated for dramatic effect.

I’ve worked in several different career fields and there’s always some degree of office politics, nepotism, good ole boys networks and backstabbing… But entertainment/show business just seems like it’s on another level regarding those things. If it’s accurate, how do people tolerate that environment? Do they just get desensitized to it?
