I just want to get a grasp of the overall Psychology and how people really feel about this.

Besides Netflix Shows that drop full season at release, Personally I Hate starting new series, cause I hate having to wait weekly for new episodes and all the while getting spoilers from social media stories from friends on insta and recommended posts. And even if you manage to get the season done, then the future is unclear. You’ll have to wait for news if it’s going to be renewed, and if so, when will it drop, cause even that’s unclear there’s not a regular schedule anymore like when series would come back exactly one year after current years launch. And the wait can sometime be crazy like series now can take 2-3 years easily for a new season which ruins all the momentum.

Like for example I watch Apples Dark Matter. Loved it. Cant wait for a new season. Also Sugar with Colin Farrell. Then series like Beef and 3 Body problem where you don’t know if they’ll come back. Taboo shot 1 season almost 10 years ago and now there’s talks of finally coming back after all those years. All that waiting is horrible.

But if most people thought like and decide to wait it out, then the Series ratings numbers would tank and the quality would drop drastically and they wouldn’t be renewed for more seasons.

On the other hand If you let a series go, and wait till it’s finalized you could end up having to binge 5-8 seasons of something and that would be overwhelming. It a show is excellent and is a must watch then that would mean that you have a lot of content to consume, but how many shows are like that. Mostly you think oh man how am I going to get through so many seasons then you cautiously start it l, push yourself up to some point and either have to compulsively finish it or abandon it and feel like you have unfinished business.

Personally for me the sweet spot is like 3 mostly 4 seasons of 10-13 episodes that come highly recommended.
