I know that so much has changed the last 15 years with streaming taking over, but with the recent successes of The Pitt (being a network-style streaming show) and Matlock, I think there is a renewed interest in having these type of low-key, buzzy type shows.

What I am getting at is that I feel like there is a way to keep the momentum going, by having the studios try to prioritize shows that can be familiar but different. And I’m not saying every show has to be a medical or a cop show, but let’s see if they come up with the next Star Trek or Kung Fu.

The only thing that I feel is close to that is Tracker, and that seems to be doing well for CBS.

So what do y’all think? Have a good sizable run in primetime followed by an even bigger following on streaming.
