As a Washington fan, I couldn’t care less about the national perception of the Big Ten and how the other teams in the conference perform. Every Saturday I hope that UW wins, Oregon loses, and USC loses. The extent of my conference pride is the map commercial.

For the Pac-12, I was proud to be in the Pac. I loved the west coast style of college football and got angry at the constant amount of disrespect that the national media threw at it. I never considered myself a “Pac-12 fan” though, and I didn’t root for the conference every bowl season. I do, however, consider myself a West Coast football fan.

Do you guys root for your conferences and/or feel pride in your conference? Why or why not?
