I’ve been active in pregnancy forums here on on other apps since getting pregnant myself. It has opened my eyes to the mind-boggling amount of people who are surprised to get pregnant while having unprotected sex. This seems to be accompanied by the many reasons why they’re not on contraception - don’t like the hormones, or how condoms feel, etc. Both men and women seem to do that.
If you’re having sex regularly without protection and you have not been told by a medical professional that you are infertile, the most likely outcome is pregnancy. It absolutely does not matter that you have a “good reason” to not be on BC. Your reproductive system doesn’t care about what you want. It’s just doing its thing to further the existence of our species.
There is no such thing as “not really trying” when having unprotected sex.
I can’t believe this needs to be said to adults.
