For me, its Alabama.
Dont get me wrong, I’m not stupid enough to doubt Saban. The man probably is the greatest college football coach of all time. But honestly, I do not see where the confidence that the media has in this Alabama team is coming from.
They seem very uncertain at QB, they really dont seem to have that already definite Alpha-Level offensive threat locked and loaded, they have a bunch of 5-stars out there at Receiver and Running Back, but did any of them really amaze any of us last year? It’s not a dig or a slam… I’d say right away that in years past you knew who that next man up was that would later become Waddle or Smith or Ridley or whomever… same at Running Back… oh you lost Mark Ingram… well here is Richardson and Lacy and like 50 other guys.
I know they have the talent, and they have the coach… but do they have the DUDE who is going to make it his team? Remains to be seen, and that is why I am most curious about Bama this year.
