I just transferred to a new uni to study nursing and had to get new scrub tops from a store. The one I was sold didn’t have that boob pocket like my old ones did, which I thought was weird but probably just a cost thing.
I get to my first lab yesterday and see all the guys with that extra pocket. I thought they probably bought them second hand and it was an old design, but turns out they’re the unisex ones. The company doesn’t sell men’s scrubs, so the guys were only offered these.
What could possibly be the reason for omitting a very commonly used and handy pocket on women’s scrubs, but including it on the unisex ones? They didn’t even add a little spot for your pens in the other big pockets, so they fall out every time you bend over. I’ve already dropped my pen like 5 times just from the muscle memory of putting it away over my boob.
I’ve only taken the tags off one top so I’m going to return the other for a unisex one. If they’re not going to make them the same, the least they could do is ask which one you want. Just give us the pockets you give the men!
(This reminds me of when I flew business class with my dad and instead of getting deodorant in my toiletry pack like he did, I got a mirror)
