Now hear me out, I know apart from r/LivestreamFail Reddit does not fuck with this space at all. If done right this could be a fascinating show.

A basic plot of young adults trying to gain traction and being broke, insane lengths they go to achieve fame by being controversial or doing crazy stunts, being unable to cope with sudden fame and influx of money after going from rags to riches. There’s a lot more that can be done. And all can be based of real life.

Characters being completely different off camera. Narcissistic sociopaths being obsessed with building their brand and maximising views/money. Staging videos with screen-trained amateur actors and lesser known creators. Handpicking winners for contests/giveaways which is essentially scamming fans who participate. Promoting gambling to kids. Launching food products that fraudulently claim to be healthy and mainly targeted toward kids. NFT and crypto scams. Washed up celebs getting into the scene to reclaim fame (see Soulja Boy). Getting cancelled and trying to have PR firms save their careers, AI written apologies and donating to charities. Swatting, death threats, being stalked by fans. Transforming to right wing grifters to gain the incel crowd. Sexual predators and groomers that run rampant in the community until they get exposed years later.

There’s enough stuff to make a Silicon Valley style comedy or be a more serious show. Like it or hate it, this space has become an important cornerstone of pop culture in the 2020s decade. A great show can be made out of it which in later years can be viewed as a time capsule to our current times.
