I've been watching the Disney+ show Loki. Lately, Disney has been trying hard to cater to the "woke" crowd, but this show is pretty textbook in making a bad guy out of an authoritarian bureaucracy that is run by mysterious elites acting on a moral belief that they simply know better than everyone else about how things should be.
In one episode a disillusioned agent (played by Owen Wilson) flatly states, "I guess when you believe the end justifies the means, there isn't much you won't do." This should be the only nail in the coffin that matters for collectivism, but of course the authoritarians will be completely blind to their own irony if they watch this show.
A lot of the MCU is like this, actually, especially Winter Soldier, Civil War, and Infinity War. It's a shame the lessons in this massively popular franchise hasn't translated to the real world.
At least, not yet.
