A rival flair posted his interpretation of comments from Kyle today that stroked some sweet confirmation bias for those holding the narrative that Utah thinks they are too good for the big 12 here.
Of course he knew that people would read his headline but not listen to the interview, nor did he care to post an excerpt of any of Kyles actual words rather than just his own interpretation, but i digress…
Lets be clear about a few things here:
What Kyle is talking about in the interview is something he has talked about for years now, that realignment is not done and will probably end up with a few superconferences. He has NEVER once said he thinks Utah will end up in the Big 10, or even that they deserve to be in the Big 10. Hell he has never even said he thinks Utah will be included in whatever the final superconferences are. Only that that is where CFB will end up
If you hear what he said yourself, he is basically saying that another round of realignment is coming in 2-5 years (most of us agree i think?) and that it is possible that Utah and BYU are not permanently in a conference together
He sure as hell has never alluded to Utah being too good for the big 12.
The takeaways in the comments in that thread were exactly what the rival flair was trying to pull from a comment that said not one thing of the sort.
anyways carry on
