As an example of what I mean I’ve always had the theory that part of the reason for the unfortunate cancellation of the CBS show Scorpion when it was was because at least for part of its run (it might have changed timeslots but idr and if it did that might have been proof of some kind of sabotage) it aired opposite when The Good Doctor was airing on ABC and so a certain neurodivergent-y nerdy demographic had to make a choice of which show to watch when it was airing
