What did Clive get out of it? I assumed him loving Belle’s son and him being like the child Clive never got to have. Leaving Belle meant losing him. He didn’t even really seem like he loved her and she had 0 care for him & what he went through with his own life.
However, knowing how crazy she was, why did he stay right until the end no matter what- and protect her to the death at that. I just don’t really get it.
Sidenote - Milla basically caused/sped up(?) her mum’s swift death?! I get she was trying to convince herself the juicing & enemas will fix everything forever but knowing it never even left her & forcing your lifestyle upon your mum is so wild. Her mum dying on the way to her beloved Hirsch was really the wake up call she needed. She was so so wrong for everything but at least she self-reflected no matter how late…
