If a show on the CW got renewed once then it was practically a guarantee that the show would be renewed for multiple seasons and get a final season announcement when it’s done. Plus with 20+ episodes it allowed us to have some of that charm from older shows. I don’t care that some of its cringy or teen drama. I just loved them bc they were still fun. It was literally the only channel in modern days that kept that standard from the past and with it being bought by someone else it got completely ruined. Now I feel like we will never have another drama with 22 episodes. I much prefer that many episodes bc even with the main story doesn’t happen as fast I get to spend more time with the characters in the world which gives me a bigger bond with the characters and I get to see more creative worldbuilding. Not to mention the wacky one off special episodes that get really creative and fun that you can’t do in 8-10 episode seasons. It feels like the magic of TV is dying and replaced with 8 hour movies.
