Recent days I’m seeing lot of posts on all social media criticizing that shows with laugh tracks like HIMYM, TBBT and Friends (especially way too much) are not funny. I am a guy who is from a country where English isn’t the native language. Because of that I always watch TV shows and movies with english subtitles enabled and whenever a dialogue is lengthy I pause the video and read it and then play again. I can understand it a lot better now without the subtitles, but when I was watching I had to pause and play a lot and burst out laughing even before playing it / the laugh track comes. I firmly believe that those shows aren’t funny because of the added laugh tracks from my experience. What do you guys think?
