Hi everyone.

Hope you’re all doing well.

What I mean by my question is, like, when in Buffy the Vampire Slayer at the end of season 2, as Angelus tries to activate Acathla and tries to end the world, Buffy has to stop him but Xander lies to her about Willow’s spell to restore his soul and instead he says Willow‘s message to Buffy was, “kick his ass.”

So Buffy went Into this fight without this information, but we never really see both Xander and Buffy later having a conversation about it being potentially Xander’s bitterness and anger and jealousy more so than anything else leading him to encourage her to kill someone he deeply dislikes (Angel/Angelus).

Buffy ended up making a brief callback to this much later in season 7, but there wasn’t a conversation that was a direct follow-up to this in the year or two that followed.

What are other examples of you wanting to see a character admit to a friend what they did that deeply affected them, but the conversation never ended up happening?
