How y'all been. I been alright. It's been a while.

I used to post my deranged rants here all the time. I'm sure some people here still remember drunksouls69. For better or worse.

Where have I been? Staying out of political discussion for the most part. With my job I just don't have the energy to write text walls on reddit everyday anymore. I did make my own subreddit for Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring PvP and that eats up most of my reddit time now.

Anyway, if by chance any of you guys remember me, hear me out.

Anyway, have you ever heard of Kratom?

It's a lifesaving plant that is currently legal in the U.S., aside from 5 states that have banned it.

How is this a lifesaving plant?

I'll summarize. It's basically a leaf that comes from southeast Asia that you can grind up and eat for some mildly pleasant effects, such as pain relief, slight euphoria, focus, and some strains of the plant can either make you more sleepy or more awake. It also makes some nasty conditions go away, like restless leg syndrome.

The reason this plant is lifesaving is because, while it is not an opiate at all, the alkaloids in the plant that give the effects hit on the same receptors in your brain as real opiates do. So it can make grueling opiate withdrawals completely go away by making your body think you're still taking opiates, when in reality you're taking something completely different.

Make no mistake. Kratom is not an opiate. The magical alkaloids in the plant just hit the same part of your brain as opiates. Kratom is actually a very close cousin of the coffee plant. It's genetically very close to coffee and has no relation to opiates, other than the fact that it grants pain relief similar to how opiates do.

This plant saves addicts.

The medical establishment just loves putting people on slow killer life destroying opiates, knowing what will happen to them. These people become dependent on opiates and their life deteriorates rapidly. I've seen it first hand.

But, if one of these addicts were to replace their habit with kratom, they could completely stave off any of the excruciating withdrawals that come from quitting opiates. Kratom is likely the most safe and effective tool to quit using opiates because of this. Since kratom has pain killing effects, it also takes care of pain problems most opiate users have as well.

While being useful for all of this, Kratom has been used for thousands of years in asian medicine, and has never taken a life. It is completely safe to take. Even if you took an astronomically high dose of kratom, you couldn't overdose on it. It's a lot like marijuana, except for the fact that marijuana is a lot more potent.

Kratom found it's way into the West about 15ish years ago. Since then, there has never been a recorded death due solely to kratom.

However, there ARE people who have used things such as meth, heroine, fentanyl, and other hard drugs while they were using kratom, and died.

When this happens, the medical establishment and news reports always blame the kratom despite the fact that these people were also mixing actual hard drugs, which were the things that actually killed them, not the kratom.

There is not a single case of someone dying of solely kratom use.

That leads me to the next point. The Establishment has been trying to outlaw kratom for years now.

Why would they want to do that?

Because big pharma is losing a lot of money to kratom.

There are an estimated 10 million kratom users in the United States. A sizeable portion of these people probably used kratom to drop opiates. And that's a lot of people. A lot of money lost for big pharma. The kicker is, pharmaceutical companies can't even patent kratom, so they can't make money off of it that way either.

Of course, when big companies lose money to something they can't control, they start buying the rules. This is why the establishment wants kratom gone. They can't beat it or take advantage of it.

That's why despite there being no evidence that kratom is harmful or dangerous, they're trying to ban it anyway.

In 2016 the DEA moved to ban kratom, but due to such massive public outcry they backed off.

Several individual states have banned kratom. 5 I believe.

Now, in 2021, the FDA and WHO are trying to use a backdoor method to ban kratom.

These two organizations are getting together. They're basically trying to collude with each other to say that kratom is dangerous and should be banned. They don't actually have the authority to ban anything, but if they say they want it banned, the rest of the world is very likely to ban Kratom, especially the U.S.

The two organizations will be doing this on August 9th. But, there's a way we can stop them.

Legally, they have to openly take comments on kratom from the general population. They legally have to accept public opinion before they go ahead with this.

So, there is a page that I'll link in the bottom of this post where you can leave a comment if you want to help.

Basically, if we get large enough public outcry, they will probably back off. Just like the DEA did in 2016.

Anyway, why am I asking you guys for help with this ?

Because we are libertarians.

I'm asking you to help solely on principle. Even if you don't give the slightest smidgit of a fuck about kratom, this is still a freedom that must be protected. We as consenting adults have the right to take any substance we please into our body, and the establishment has no right to interfere with that. So long as we aren't harming other people, it should be fine.

Banning kratom will only create a black market, and put millions of people back on slow killer opiates. This would also take away the only way out for opiate addicts. Of course, that's why they're trying to ban it. But if you are libertarian minded, I feel that you would have a problem with this based on principle alone.

During my time with this sub I've often described it as an island of intelligence in a sea of idiocy. There are some very intelligent people here. I feel like some of you would maybe want to help us stop the establishment from banning yet another harmless substance.

We have 35k comments in favor of keeping kratom legal already, but we fear this isn't substantial enough to stop them. The problem is, most kratom users don't even know this is in motion right now. This isn't big news. You won't be able to find out about this unless you're deep in the kratom community. 99% of the 10 million kratom users in the West probably don't even know this is happening.

So, I seek help from my old libertarian buddies. I'm trying to get anyone I can to help. This is the most likely group of people to want to help with something like this.

I've been taking kratom for 5 years. I'm in better condition than I was before I started taking it. It also makes my factory job 100x less miserable with the subtle, yet pleasant effects that it grants me. I don't hurt and feel dead all the time anymore. This stuff helps a lot of people and we can't let that get taken away because some douche in a suit isn't making enough money selling slow killer opiate pills.

So, if you want to help, this is what you do.

These are open ended comments. You can theoretically type anything you like into it and send it in. You can anonymously leave a comment, or you can choose to have your name attached to it.

It will only help if you say something positive about kratom. Such as the fact that it is completely safe, or that it's saved millions of people from addiction, or that it's our right as consenting adults to take what we like into our body. Say anything positive you like. I've given you a lot of concrete information here in this post that you can use, but I encourage you to research the plant yourself if you think I'm not accurate.

If you're a good liberty minded person, please help us out. I can't let another band of sociopathic lizard people take something away from the peasants again. I'm not having it. Even if I wasn't a kratom user, I would still do the same thing I'm doing now just for the sake of liberty.

I understand if you don't care enough to do anything, but I hope some people will. Honestly the more the merrier. The more likely we are to succeed.

So here's the link where you can leave a comment that will be sent to the FDA. Please don't say anything vulgar or derogatory.

You're a good person. You deserve better.

Oh yeah, and the deadline is August 9th, so after that point there's no reason to comment. But before August 9th your comment would be infinitely helpful.
