I got four episodes in until the Kidman/ Skarsgard marriage and it’s constant casual domestic violence got to be too much for me. I think there were six incidents of it inside of the first four episodes. I’m surprised that I’ve never heard anybody mention this before.
I’m sure somebody is going to pipe up and say “well domestic violence is real” – I’m not saying otherwise. I’m saying I’m surprised that nobody mentions the domestic violence in connection to this show. And how prevalent it is throughout the series.
I grew up in a household with domestic violence. I don’t need to be reminded that it exists. And watching media that has domestic violence in it is not enjoyable.
